Parents! Cease not in prayer because the enemy is not resting

Today, I bring you a message of urgency and empowerment, a call to arms for every parent among us. I want to draw your attention to the role parents play in the spiritual warfare that surrounds us. Our duty as parents goes beyond just providing for our children; it extends to fervent prayer, especially in these times when the enemy is ceaselessly seeking to destroy the foundations of our faith.

As we reflect on Revelation 12:17, we’re reminded of the dragon’s relentless pursuit of those who know God’s word. This pursuit is not passive; it’s an active attempt to disrupt our spiritual journey and thwart our successes in the Lord. We must recognize that trials and tribulations will come, but we are urged to take heart, for Christ has overcome the world for us.

In Revelation 12, we are reminded that the earth is cursed, and those who do not walk with God are in danger. The challenges we face are the result of the enemy’s wrath. But take heart, for God is our defender, as stated in verse 16. Let us be reminded of the pivotal role of prayer, particularly within the hearts and lives of mothers. They are the appointed prayer defenders of our homes, and thus, the devil directs his attacks toward them. Yet, let us not forget that God is ever-present in their defense.

Parents, now is not the time to grow weary or complacent. Referencing Job 16:11-13, we understand that God permits challenges in our lives not to forsake us, but to manifest His glory through us. Even in our trials, God has a purpose—to draw us closer to Him and to manifest His glory in our lives. Don’t quit when you call him and it looks like the response is taking forever. Remember, no matter how hard you call him, he will only respond at the right time. Therefore, continue to call upon Him in unwavering faith, for He has not forgotten you.

Don’t make fun of another person’s downfall… Prophet Akintunde Akinniyi

Let us refrain from mockery or belittlement, recognizing that God speaks through even the most seemingly insignificant circumstances. Don’t make fun of another person’s downfall. Acknowledge your weaknesses and surrender them to the Almighty, for He alone holds the power to bring forth deliverance and restoration.

As good parents, let us refrain from cursing, but instead, let our prayers be a constant intercession for our children. As we navigate the challenges of parenthood, let us not be self-centered, but rather, let us seek wisdom in all that we do.

Prayer is the first significant step to unlock the answers to our deepest desires. There is a certain level of success only prayer can unlock. Look to the examples of Jesus and Solomon, who exemplified the transformative power of prayer in their lives before starting their assignment. Let their lives inspire you to seek God’s presence in every aspect of your parenting journey.

As we conclude, please note that “It is not all parents that will eat the fruit of their loins, this does not change God’s position and it does not mean the affected parents will not make heaven. However, any parent who misses their responsibilities on earth will be punished in heaven.”

May the Lord continue to strengthen in Jesus name. May the Lord bless his word.
