Have you been saved?

Dear beloved congregation,
Today, I come before you with a message that may challenge some of our hearts, but it is a message of utmost importance. If you already have the assurance of the kingdom of God, this sermon may not be specifically for you. However, if you find yourself uncertain or in need of salvation, I implore you to listen attentively, for the Lord has sent me to ask: “Have you been saved, or do you still need salvation?”
Death, my dear friends, is an inevitable reality that awaits us all. The question we must reflect upon is this: Are we preparing for our final place of rest? It is only by surrendering our lives to Christ that we can truly find eternal peace and rest in the kingdom of God. Those who have been saved will always exhibit zeal and boldness in their pursuit of God. They will walk and work according to His divine directions and instructions.

Even for those who claim to be saved, we must exercise caution. As expressed in CAC Hymn 941, the writer reminds us that even the saved should be careful. Additionally, CAC Hymn 953 poses a striking question: “Will your name be mentioned when the names of saints are called in heaven?” Let us make heaven our priority at all times, striving to live in a manner that honors our faith and reflects the love of God.
In conclusion, I urge each one of you to ponder deeply: What have you given up for Christ in light of your salvation? Let us not forget the immeasurable love God has shown us. As we leave this sanctuary today, may our hearts be stirred, and may we be motivated to live lives that exemplify our salvation. Remember, salvation is not merely a one-time event but a transformative journey. Embrace it, nurture it, and let God’s love shine through you. Amen.
