Open my eyes to see greater things

There are moments in life when the difference between struggle and breakthrough is not in the strength of our hands, but in the clarity of our vision. Opportunities are everywhere, but only those whose eyes have been meaningfully opened can recognise them. Without spiritual sight, a person may sweat and struggle endlessly, trying to recover what was missed.

The Lord provides doors of blessing, but those doors are not automatic. Scripture reminds us that while the doors may be open, we must strive to enter in (Luke 13:24). Without Christ in you and you in Christ, those doors remain inaccessible. Spiritual alignment is not optional—it is the very key that unlocks divine opportunities.

Without the guidance of the Holy Spirit, speaking of the word is nothing more than self-promotion. But when the Spirit leads, revelation flows, lives are transformed, and God alone is glorified. Paul writes in 1 Corinthians 16:8 about the need for patience in waiting upon God. Impatience is one of the enemy’s subtle tricks. It can push you out of alignment and make you lose what God had planned for your life. Divine blessings always come in divine timing.

Divine timing requires sensitivity.
Ecclesiastes 3:1 reminds us, “To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.” Stop envying others, because your appointed time is different. When God reveals your time, rise and act on it. If you neglect to move at the right time, history will remember the missed moment, not the potential.

Destiny requires obedience.
As long as you walk in the ways of the Lord and remain spiritually awake, He will position you exactly where He wants you to be. Neglecting prayer meetings, Bible studies, and personal devotion, while expecting others to carry you in prayer, is not alignment—it is negligence. Your input is vital for your growth.
Habakkuk 2:2–3 emphasizes the need for vision: “Write the vision, and make it plain… for the vision is yet for an appointed time.” Without vision, your path remains unclear. Vision is the pathway that orders your destiny.

The Hidden Nature of Favour
Many times, favour is concealed in unlikely places. Jacob in Genesis 28:16 exclaimed, “Surely the Lord is in this place; and I knew it not.” God often hides Himself so that He can reveal Himself to the diligent seeker. Hagar did not know that the water she desperately needed was right beside her until her eyes were opened (Genesis 21:19).

What you fail to see may delay your rising, but once your eyes are opened, the battle is already won.

Conclusion
God is about to open doors of blessing to so many people, please don’t miss it.
Remember these four points:

  • Stay sensitive to divine timing.
  • Stay obedient to God’s direction.
  • Stay rooted in prayer and the Word.
  • Work hard and smart, but do not downplay the part of God’s favour.
