What on earth am I here for?

Dear beloved congregation,

Last week we delved into a profound topic that has been the subject of many ponderings throughout human history. Today, let us take a moment to reflect on the questions that have been burning in the depths of our souls.

  • Why are we here on this Earth?
  • What is our purpose?
  • What is our significance in this vast world?

These questions are of utmost importance, for they shape the very core of our existence.

To start with, we are here to bring pleasure to our Creator, our Almighty God. It is our duty to know Him, to love Him, and to worship Him with all our hearts. Yet, let us not limit our worship to mere songs and rituals. True worship is revealed through our service to others, through the goodness and joy that we bring into this world. It is in making God happy that we find our purpose.

Secondly, we were never meant to journey through life alone. We were designed for fellowship, to love and care for one another. It is in these relationships that we experience the beauty of human connection. So, I ask you, my dear brothers and sisters, with whom do you choose to fellowship? Do you surround yourself with dream chasers, those who uplift and inspire you, or do you find yourself in the company of destiny destroyers, those who drag you down and hinder your growth?

Furthermore, we are called to be disciples, to emulate the character of our Lord and saviour, Jesus Christ. No matter what achievements we may accumulate in this life, if we lack good character, it is all in vain. Let us strive to be like Christ in every aspect of our lives, for in doing so, we become true disciples.

Do not waste your today and tomorrow by living this life without purpose. Prophet Akintunde Akinniyi

Each one of us has been uniquely shaped for ministry. God has bestowed upon us special gifts, and they are not meant for our selfish desires alone. Our ministries are the channels through which we bless others. Therefore, let us not neglect our gifts, but rather, let us use them to fulfill the work of our ministries and bring glory to God.

Lastly, my dear beloved, we have been created for a mission. It is not just the task of pastors and preachers to save lost souls. Each and every one of us has been entrusted with the responsibility to bring salvation to those who are lost. Do not underestimate the power of your words, your actions, and your testimony. By honoring the word of God and sharing His love with others, we fulfill our mission on this Earth.

In conclusion, let us not squander our today and tomorrow by living without purpose. Let us diligently work on the reasons for our existence. Remember, God has blessed us abundantly, and He expects us to use those blessings to bring happiness to others. Return all glory to God, save souls for Christ, and instead of coveting what others possess, seek God’s guidance to discover and utilize your own unique gifts. May the Lord bless you and guide you on this journey of purpose and fulfillment. Amen.
