God made me laugh

Everything that will make you happy this month and year, the angel of the Lord will deliver it to you in Jesus name. As we gather today under the grace of the Almighty, let us reflect on the topic: “God Made Me Laugh”.

Testimonies don’t come without tribulations, we have been taught to prepare for it. Scripture tells us in John 16:33, “In this world, you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” Indeed, challenges are inevitable, but they are not insurmountable. As we journey through life, we encounter obstacles in various forms—be it in our education, careers, relationships, or spiritual battles. Yet, let us take heart, for the Lord has assured us of victory. He has overcome the world, and in Him, we find our strength.

There are powers that seek to hinder us, to hold us back from reaching our full potential in Christ. But fear not, for the hand of God is upon us, separating us from every blocker that stands in our way. Consider the journey of Abraham, as depicted in Genesis 13:8, he faced numerous obstacles, yet God’s hand guided him, separating him from every blocker on his path to glory. Our lives are not meant for mere management; they are destined for divine fulfillment as seen in Genesis 15:4-6.

Before we can fully experience the joy of laughter, God bestows upon us a new identity, a new name—a mark of His transformation in our lives. As seen in Genesis 17:5 where He transformed Abram into Abraham, He transforms our identities and destinies.

God does not fail his covenant… Prophet Akintunde Akinniyi

Brethren, I testify to this truth from personal experience. Once known as a chronic smoker and troublemaker, I was ensnared in familial discord and societal pressures. Yet, as the testimonies of God’s faithfulness multiply, so does the challenges. But let us not be discouraged, for the laughter that follows the tears of tribulation is sweeter still. Let us trust in His promises, for He who has called us is faithful to fulfill His covenant. May His joy be our strength, and guide us through every trial and triumph. Amen!
