Introduction

God measures love through obedience.
Many people say, “I love God”, “I am born again”, “I am a worker”, but obedience proves true love.
Saul lost his throne because of disobedience. David made mistakes, but his heart remained submissive before God.
Here are important points to note:

Partial obedience is still disobedience
1 Samuel 15:9.
God told Saul to destroy everything, but Saul kept some things for himself. Many believers obey God halfway.
God says forgive — they refuse
God says leave sin — they delay
God says pray — they ignore
God says give — they resist
Delayed obedience is dangerous. -
Jesus is the perfect example of obedience
Philippians 2:8
Jesus obeyed even unto death.
Obedience may cost comfort.
Obedience may cost popularity.
But obedience brings heaven’s approval. -
Obedience brings blessings
Isaiah 1:19
“If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land.”
Many people pray for blessings while resisting God’s instructions.
The door to many miracles is obedience.
Biblical examples of obedience
- Noah; People mocked Noah, but he obeyed God and survived the flood.
- Abraham obeyed God completely, and God blessed generations through him.
- Peter obeyed Jesus to cast the net again and received a miracle and etc.
God does not bless stubbornness.
God blesses surrendered hearts.
Every spirit of rebellion fighting your destiny shall break today.
May the grace for total obedience rest upon your life in Jesus’ name.
Prayer points
Father, give me a submissive heart.
Remove stubbornness and pride from my life.
Help me obey You quickly and completely.
Let my obedience open doors of blessings.
Holy Spirit, guide me into truth daily. Amen
