The God who rebuilds all that Is destroyed

Text: Amos 9:11
There is a God who restores, and He has sent me to tell you today: He wants to rebuild all that has been broken, lost, or destroyed in your life. The bible reminds us that “to everything there is a season”. Just as there can be a time of loss, there is also a time of restoration. When we speak of destruction, it is not just the collapse of physical things, but of homes, families, dreams, hopes, and even nations. Yet, in the midst of emptiness, one constant remains, the faithfulness of God.
Human knowledge can be flawed, human connections may fail, and earthly systems may disappoint. But God’s purpose and power never fail. He restores for His glory, and He restores with intentionality.
Maybe you feel time has passed you by—your opportunities wasted, your hopes scattered. The Lord will restore the years that the locust has eaten. When God rebuilds, the joy is so overwhelming that “we will be like those who dream” (Psalm 126:1).
God sees everything you are going through. He does not forsake you. He is always willing to restore, but He calls us to surrender all to Him. If truly you know the God you serve, you must learn patience and submission, for when He comes, He comes with power, shaking heaven and earth to confirm His presence.
God does not restore to satisfy human selfishness. He restores for His greater purpose in your life. His restoration is proof that His hand is upon you, that His glory may shine through you.
Important truths to remember
- God sees all things destroyed. Nothing escapes His sight (Psalm 34:18).
- Doubt hinders restoration. Only those who believe will enjoy His blessings.
- His will to restore is greater than your expectations. What you think is too late, He calls on time.
- God is intentional about your future. “For I know the thoughts I think toward you, says the Lord… to give you a future and a hope.” (Jeremiah 29:11).
- He rebuilds from the foundation. (Ecclesiastes 3:3). He doesn’t patch; He establishes.
- Christ is the cornerstone of restoration. (Isaiah 28:16). Without Jesus, all rebuilding will crumble.
In conclusion brethren, meditate on this question.
What has knowledge, language, wealth, or power turned you into?
Have they replaced your dependence on God?
Remember this, for every destruction, God has the power to restore, but His restoration begins with Christ.
Without Him, every rebuilding will end in emptiness.
Choose to surrender, trust, and wait on the Lord today
